Just a quick thanks to Sebastian and co. for the game at Salute today - modified version of CR.2 for lots of figs and newbies and it played very well and we had an excellent time!!!!! Rich Jones
I just wanted to post quickly to thank Sebastian and the Crazy Bear & Ragged Staff team for running an excellent game at Salute today. A very enjoyable time was had by all, as far as I could tell. I certainly had a great time. The rules used were a simplified version of CR2, designed to ensure a fast paced game. Nobody seemed to have any real problems getting to grips with the way the game played, and the system coped with everything some imaginative players could throw at it. The figures and terrain looked really good (I didn't count how many buildings there were - so let's just say LOTS and leave it at that). I will hope to catch this again at Reading, and see how it has evolved. Perhaps the Delta team will have brushed up their car-jacking skills by then! ;-) Congratulations to all involved.Andrew Milson
Hi all Just got back to Portugal from Salute! I had the pleasure of participate in the first game Sebastian held: what a great time! I was in charge of Delta Team Beta and my Delta "partner", leading Delta Team Alfa was Simon. Our mission was to locate and arreste 2 warlords. Four ranger squads guarded the perimeter of the buildings where the targets were located. Air support was available on request... Despite the fact I didn't get to act the first turns (a card system was used to activate units) after a while I got to clear 3 rooms and locate one of the targets we had to capture. Simon had already cleared some rooms and located the other target. The pick-up convoy was called and Simon got his team on board...while I was on my way the convoy got moving to assist the downed BH. I agreed to leave my team behind and tryed to help the rangers who were going to the second crash site. How did I did this? I got a cab. The cab that acted as a mark of the building where the warlords were, was converted to transport to my Delta Team. We agreed that I had to pass 2D6 < Rep to get the cab running...my team members were Rep 5...it took 3 turns to get the engine started (even my wife helped rolling the dice but the damn 6 kept coming up!). After a while the cab was moving with 4 Deltas and a prisioner inside. A Mog Technical come down street, shot at the cab and wounded one of the Deltas. Air support came into play and the Somali Pick Up was no more! One pit stop was made to pick up a wounded ranger and drive him to safety. Next turn, Delta Team Beta stoped next to the second downed BW and the game was over... Don't know what was happening on the other side of the table, but I know it also had some tense moments! Hope to be there next year and play on the bigger Mogadishiu City, Sebastion will be preparing! Cheers Alex
Sebastian - A very impressive game. I took a few pics which can be found in our Salute album on the Combat Zone group: http://games.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/CombatZone/photos/browse/1442 Doug
Game was a lot of fun, thanks Seb! There's a thread on WD Forum about it (Salute prizes). Simon Miller
