My fascination with Glorantha started in my teenage years. There was something more to RuneQuest than any other game I knew of (other than Chivalry & Sorcery but more of that on another page). It was alien culrtures at work. Then I realised that cultures are alien, inherantly alien. Somehow this bled into the game.
Then people wrote more about it and the mystery (and single editorial voice) was lost. So was I. I abandoned it and went onto other things, mostly real history.
Then Hordes of the Things came along. And Richard Crawley. I saw his Zorak Zoran army and knew I had to do something Gloranthan. Then Simon Miller and Ian Notter turned up out of the blue. Suddenly there were Gloranthan wargames happening, and in GOS. Somehow I ended up running GloryGeeks the yahoo group dedicated to Gloranthan wargaming.
Then GloryDay 04 happened. The worlds smallest Games Convention (six participants). Then GloryDay 05 happened with eighteen players. Now GloryDay 06 is on the cards!
A general contemplation of the delights that was GloryDay 06.
